True education seeks, then, to make men and women not only good mathematicians, proficient linguists, profound scientists, or brilliant literary lights, but also honest men, combined with virtue, temperance, and brotherly love – men and women who prize truth, justice, wisdom, benevolence, and self-control as the choicest acquisitions of a successful life-David O. McKay

Great Wolf Lodge
Last Thursday we left for a much needed family vacation. We made reservations at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. The trip was supposed to take about 3 1/2 hours but with our hour lunch stop at Denny's, we made it in about 4 1/2 hours.
Our friends, the Magee family went with us and we were thrilled to be able to use the homeschooling rate which got us a steal of a deal on the price of the room. We pulled in on Thursday around 4:00 and stayed at the hotel, ate our meals there and just enjoyed being somewhere where we didn't have to leave until Saturday around 1:00.
We stayed in one of the lodge rooms. They slept 9 people and were really cool as they had a loft area with an additional bedroom and bath. It was terrific having a room that could sleep all 8 of us and having 2 bathrooms was great for all the changing in and out out of swim suits.
More post to come with some of hte fun activities the kids did.
